Andrew J. married Ida Elizabeth Goggans on 9 March 1902. In Marion County, Alabama. Marriage license issued and bond posted on 5 March 1902.[3]

The 1880 and 1900 census records have variant spellings for Achilles. His grave marker has A. J. Cantrell and his marriage license and bond say Andrew J. Cantrell. On the 1910 census he is using James A. Cantrell.[4]
