Biography

Mary Carder was born about 1653, daughter of Richard Carder and his second wife Mary (unk). ^[1]

She married Malachi Rhodes on May 27, 1675, at Warwick, Rhode Island. ^{[2] [1]} Malachi was born about 1648, son of Zachariah and Joanna (Arnold) Rhodes. ^[3]

Malachi Rhodes died in 1682. His will was proved on December 11, 1682. In it he names: ^[3]

• wife Mary
• son Malachi, when he comes of age
• daughter Mary and Sarah Rhodes ^[3]

Her mother, widow Mary Carder, in her will proved on April 3, 1691, left her daughter widow Mary Rhodes wearing apparel and 20s. ^[1]

Mary Carder, died on January 22, 1692/3. ^[2]
