Biography

Thomas Cargill Sr was born 1750-1759 according to the 1830 census records, the son of John Cargill and Rachel Tinsley. He was mentioned fifth in his father's will, receiving 200 acres of land. [1]

Thomas, Sr. died between 22 Nov 1830 [Buys lot 79 in Pike County, GA from Charles Jordan] and 1 December 1831 [Pike County, GA per a deed mentioning his legatees below].

Thomas and Elizabeth's daughter Martha married John Martin, son of Daniel. Thomas sells land found in Laurens, SC to John in 1802/1803:

16 Mar 1802-12 Aug 1803. Thomas CARGILL Sr. to John MARTIN, son of Daniel, for $100, Lot #9. Wit: Cornelius Cargill, Wiley Birney, Joel Walker. William Mitchell J. P. [2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

This Thomas died about 1831. I have a deed record that mentions his legatees which I will post. His wife should be only the Elizabeth Unknown. His son Thomas, Jr. died in 1850 in possibly Kentucky. He is the one married to Elizabeth Finley, which you have but then she is also attached to the father, twice.
Cargill-712 and Cargill-4 appear to represent the same person because: they share the same father, the same birth location, and the same wife. The death dates and location are not a match but it is referenced in the notes for Cargill-4 that there is a discrepancy in the death records available and lists Cargill-712's death date and location as a possibility.
