Son of Arthur Carlton and Martha 'Mary' COLCLOUGH, he arrived in the U.S., 1902, Philadelphia, with his parents and sisters aboard the SS Rhynland from Liverpool.
The family came to Trenton, NJ where he first worked in Elite Pottery. He married Maud Emma WRIGHT and they had two daughters.
He was a well-known potter in Trenton, a turner at Trenton Potteries until 1925 when they moved to Prescott, Arizona for his health.
Arthur died on a train near Gallup, New Mexico coming from Arizona back to New Jersey.
Funeral held from home of his father in law Thomas Wright. In addition to his father, wife and daughters, he was survived by 5 brothers Claude, John C, Joseph, George and Charles
Widowed, his wife married Lester 'Leslie' M. Schmidt.
