Biography

Daniel was the son of Pickens Carlton and Martha Steele.[1]

He was aged 5 in 1860.[2]

In 1870 he was aged 15.[3]

Married Julia Brookshire 12 Jan 1880 in Caldwell County, North Carolina. She was daughter of Elisha and Mary Ann Brookshire.[4]

Newly married in 1880.[5]

At age 65, Daniel was living in Caldwell County with wife Julia and daughter Vennie.[6]

He died in Kings Creek, North Carolina, in 1930.[1]
