• Anna, his wife, was 54 years old. She was born in Michigan, but both her parents were born in Ireland.
• Mabel, their daughter, was 26 and single. She was born in Michigan and worked as a school teacher.
• Lester, son, was 25, single, born in Michigan, and worked as a plumber in a shop.
