Research Notes

this person probably is the same as Lydia F. Carney (1870)

Could use some help. Have not been able to determine this family out. My mother remembers Fannie's sister Ida Mae Carney. I am unsure of the children's parents as she was married twice and so was Alexander Creel.

Harmon Carney and Margaret F. Satcher has two daughters with similar names, Lydia F. Carney and Fannie Carney. So are they the same? Then the birth year varies from 1867 to 1881.

Census 1880: Lydia F. Carney, b. 1870 Living with parents

Census 1900: Fannie Carney, b. Dec 1881 Fannie living with parents but this one is listed as younger than brothers, Washington and King. The mother states there are 7 children living, now James L. Carney and John W. Carney are listed in other censuses. Did Lydia F. Carney die and they name another child Fannie? Don't think so because the 1910 has L F and 1920 has Lidia F then 1930 and 1940 is back to Fannie.
