Daniel Carpenter Jr. was born at Rehoboth, Massachusetts on November 8, 1695, son of Daniel and Bethiah Carpenter. [1][2]
He married Susanna Lyon on December 9, 1720. [1] Susanna was born at Woodstock, Connecticut on September 29, 1699, daughter of John and Elizabet (___) Lyon. [2]
In the 1722 settlement of his father Daniel Sr.'s estate, as eldest son, Daniel received property valued at L59 4s, including 30 acres already given by his father, half right in the sawmill and adjoining lands, rights of commonage in Rehoboth, rights in the cedar swamp, rights in Attleborough, and 2 shares of the moveable estate. [3]
Susanna's father John Lyon died at Reboboth in 1725. The Suffolk County Massachusetts probate record on March 22, 1726, mentions his wife and children including daughter Susanna Carpenter. [2] John Lyon's heirs, including Daniel Carpenter and Susannah Carpenter were among the petitioner's to the both the court at Bristol and the court at Suffolk, requesting a specific division of John Lyon Sr's. land in Bristol County and Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts and Providence County, Rhode Island between the eldest and two younger sons and daughter. [4] The request specified that Daniel and Susannah were willing to take their portion from the lands at Roxbury, rather than divide the each of different land holdings into several parts. [5]
On January 18, 1726, Daniel Carpenter was appointed guardian to Susanna's younger brother Caleb Lyon. [2]
Daniel died at Rehoboth on January 26, 1763 aged about 67 years. [1][2]
In his will written on February 25, 1760/1, he names: [6]

On March 5, 1763, Daniel Carpenter, John Lyon and Ebenezer Walker posted bond of L100, and Daniel was confirmed as administrator of his father's estate. [7]
His widow Susannah died there on July 7, 1790, aged 99 years 10 months. [1]
