William was born on 29 Mar 1785 in Wroxton, Cherwell District, Oxfordshire, England. He died on 9 Dec 1863 and is buried at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha, Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States. [1]
In 1841, he is living in Wroxton, Oxfordshire, England with his wife, Mary (Gardener) Carpenter (1781-1855), and three children, John Carpenter (1818-1884), Sarah (Carpenter) Reid (1820-1868), and Joseph. [2]
