Stanley Frazien Carpenter DCM was born in Sydney, New South Wales. [1]

Stanley Franzien Carpenter served in the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) in World War 1. Enlisted at Randwick NSW on 18 August 1914. Listed as a widower at that time. His next of kin on enlistment was: Father, J C Carpenter, Norlin, via Dolgelly, New South Wales. His occupation when he enlisted was Trimmer. His unit was: 2nd Battalion, F Company. His rank was Sergeant. His Regimental Number was: 607. [2]

A private (now Lance Corporal), was recommended for military medal on 3rd August 1915 along with Edward Arthur Roberts relating to events on 26 April 1915 at the Anzac Landing. The dispatch which is unsigned reads:-

These two stretcher bearers on the 26th April went along the beach under heavy fire to rescue wounded men of other units who had been lying in a stranded boat near the 'Fishermans Hut' for over 30 hours. All the occupants of the boat had been killed or wounded by machine gun or shrapnel fire.
These strecher bearers rescued four wounded men although under heavy fire while going to the boat, taking the wound out and returning.

Possibly this person: The records have different birth dates, but he was a widower on enlistment. FindAGrave has 2 wives, one dying before WW1, the other married after WW1:

Stanley Frazean Carpenter was born in 1879 in Sydney, New South Wales. Stanley Frazean Carpenter died on 31 May 1962 in Auburn, Cumberland Council, New South Wales, Australia and was buried in the Sandgate Cemetery, Sandgate, New South Wales.[3]
