On 3 Jun 1870, Benjamin T Bice, Ass't Marshal, for Buffalo Hart Township, Sangamon County, Illinois, reports John M Carpenter in between Joseph McDaniel and Samuel Wilson households.[1]

C Carpenter 37 (1833, female, white) b. Illinois; Cordelia was keeping house.
H W Carpenter 11 (1859, male, white) b. Illinois; Howard attended school.
Dora Carpenter 10 (1860, female, white) b. Illinois; Dora attended school.
