Note N11Vivian was involved in an automobile accident about August 15, 1931 in Durand, Michigan. Bruce Wilson Carpenter, her infant son was killed in the accident. She laid in a coma in the hospital in Flint, Michigan until her death on September 4, 1931. Both she and Bruce were buried in Stockbridge, Michigan.
