DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.

I am a descendant of Joseph Carpenter through my Grandmother Sarah Jane (Belt) Polk and was able to pull up his DAR #A019480. The Death date listed by DAR is January 20th 1839 instead of January 24th 1839.
I've verified my DNA match with Susan (Propst) Graben. Set the CM threshold to 3.
