Margaret "Maggie" Carpenter was born on 12 July 1876 at Johnson County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Austin George Carpenter and Mary Ann Freeman. Margaret "Maggie" Carpenter appeared on the census of 2 June 1880 at Page 3, District 101, Shawnee, Johnson County, Kansas; Maggie Carpenter, age 3 (KS), was living with her father A. G. Carpenter, age 48 (PA) farmer; her mother Mary A. Carpenter, age 34 (OH); and her half-brother John C. Carpenter, age 13 (KS). She appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 at Sheet 3A, District 100, Olathe Ward 1, Johnson County, Kansas; Margaret Carpenter, age 23 (July 1876 KS), was living with her father Austin G. Carpenter, age 68 (Dec 1831 PA) surveyor; and her mother Mary A. Carpenter, age 55 (Feb 1845 OH). No occupation was given. She married Claude Charles Cammann, son of Charles L. Cammann and Mary B. "UnKnown", circa 1910 at Kansas. Margaret "Maggie" Carpenter and Claude Charles Cammann appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at Sheet 1A, District 104, Dighton, Lane County, Kansas; "Claud" C. Cammann, age 27, ahd his wife Margret C. Cammann, age 27, living with him. Both were born in Kansas. Claude was a real estate (agent) in his own office. They had been married 0 years. Margaret "Maggie" Carpenter and Claude Charles Cammann appeared on the census of 12 January 1920 at Sheet 8A, District 111, Olathe Ward 1, Johnson County, Kansas; Claude Cammon, age 37 (KS), his wife Margaret Cammon, age 43 (KS); and his son George Cammon, age 7 (KS), were living with his widowed mother-in-law Mary Carpenter, age 74 (OH). Claude was a traveling salesman for a lumber company. They lived at 115 Walnut Street. Margaret "Maggie" Carpenter and Claude Charles Cammann appeared on the census of 1 May 1930 at Sheet 7B, District 18, Oxford, Johnson County, Kansas; Claude C. Cammann, age 47, had his wife Margaret C. Cammann, age 53; and his son George L. Cammann, age 18, living with him. All were born in Kansas. Claude was a proprietor. He owned his home. Claud had been 27 years old when he first married, and Margaret had been 33 years old when she first married. Margaret "Maggie" Carpenter died in December 1971 at Gore, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, at age 95.
