Biography

Benjamin Carpenter (William, Joseph, William) was born 25 Mar 1696 at Oyster Bay, Musketa Cove, Queens, Long Island. He died on 26 Mar 1779 at North Castle, Westchester, New York. He was buried in Chappaqua, Monthly Meeting Cemetery, Rhode Island. He was the son of William Carpenter and Elizabeth, whose surname is unknown. See the excellent research of Eugene Cole Zubrinsky, dated 9 June 2017, pages 7-8, regarding William Carpenter, father of Benjamin Carpenter, presenting the argument that the surname of William's wife is not known.[1][2]

Benjamin married Diana or Dinah Albertson on 30 Oct 1718 in Long Island, New York. Diana was born on 19 Mar 1698 at Long Island. She died on 9 Feb 1738 at Queens, Long Island. She was buried in Feb 1738 in Old Daniel Coles Burial Ground, Glen Cove, Long Island.

Benjamin also married Lydia Thorne. Lydia was born about 1696 in New York. She died on 25 Nov 1778 in New York.[3]

Carpenter-7361 and Carpenter-3561 appear to represent the same person because: Same person .. same parents plz merge
Carpenter-7361 and Carpenter-3561 do not represent the same person because: note both fathers are Wm Carpenter BUT they are born 21 years apart. Elizabeth is connected to both but I don't believe these williams are the same person and that elizabeth needs to be disconnected form one and the family verified BEFORE Benjamin's are merged.
Carpenter-7361 and Carpenter-3561 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, close birth date, and siblings.
