Whipple Carpenter (Wanton , Uriah , Uriah , Benjamin , Benjamin , Joseph , William ) was born on 8 Aug 1797 in Cumberland, Providence, Rhode Island. Whipple married, firstly, Elizabeth Mercer True. Elizabeth was born about 1805 in New Jersey. They had the following children:
