Cyril was the son of Comfort & Huldah (Bowen) Carpenter

He married Freelove Smith, daughter of Christopher & Joyce (Fear) Smith about 1759

Their children were Cynthia Ann, Benjamin Bowen, Phebe Theodosia, Christopher Smith, Elizabeth matilda, Comfort Augustus, Huldah Henrietta, Cyril Dodwick, Mary Celinda & Thomas Oilver
