Notes

"BeverlyJane Fox My mother, Ruth Prott, was the daughter of Gertrude May Carpenter and Augusta Prott. Augusta Prott migrated to Montrose,Colorado and built a home at 805 North Mesa in Montrose. He was an excellent carpenter and built my mother a complete house full of doll furniture. He and my grandmother, Gertrude were married via proxy. She was a mail order bride who grew up in Ohio and moved to Utah with the Mormon movement. She had been a school teacher and was unmarried at 32, considered an old maid in those days. Without a chaperone to travel with her to Colorado, she was married in Utah and Augusta was married in Colorado, each having someone stand in for them during the ceremony. Upon her arrival in Montrose, Colorado, they were again married. She lost her first child, only a few days old. My mother, Ruth Prott was their second child. She married my father, Everett Elwood Fox in Montrose and they had three children. My sister, Barbara, me, Beverly and my brother, James Wesley Fox. Upon my parents divorce my mother remarried Robert Smeltzer, my father remarried, Ruby Montana Reed. My sister Barbara Fowler has three children, Denise, Debbie and Richard. I have four children, Sandra Jean Rundquist, Laura Lee Rundquist, Steven Lloyd Rundquist and Alex Gordon Rundquist. My oldest daughter Sandra had three children, Erik, Robert and Melinda Coopersmith. Neither Erik or Robert are married or have children. Melinda has two son, Joshua and one due in June. My youngest daughter has five children. Amon, Tambra, Liselle, CAndis and Curtis. Amon, her first son passed as a baby. I consider I have eight grandchildren and three great grandsons. the third to be born in June of this year 2007. Neither of my sons are married or have children. I lost my youngest son, Alex Gordon Rundquist, Olson in 2001. He was my youngest of my four children. He was 33 years old. I live alone and have written a book, spending 35 years working on it with drawings. It was published by Publish American in Nov of 2006. It is currently on the market with Yahoo. Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Waldenbooks, Bordons and other outlets. It is "Life Among the Grasses" by Beverly Jane Fox and has our family history throughout the story. It is written from the early 30's to date 20century. 2007. My grandfather Prott, Augusta, worked on the W.PA. program during the depression. He helped build the Million Dollar HIghway in the majestic mountain of Colorado. He had pneumonia and died when I was only 6 months old. I miss having known him. He was there at my birth and is in the book. I am very proud to be a Prott, Fox, my blood and ancestors are who I am. Beverly Jane Fox Apr 06, 2007" [5]
