In the name of God Amen! I, King Carr being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, I do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, but first of all I commend my soul to the God who gave it my body to be buried in of decent Christian manner.
Item 1st:
(Page 159)
I will that Wm. P. Carr and Andrew M. Carr I appoint them as my Executors to the selling and disposing of my personal property to the best advantage and appropriate the proceeds to the payment of my just debts. If my personal property will not pay my debts, I will that my Executors sell off my land to the best advantage to make a sufficiency to pay all just debts if there is any of my land left after paying my just debts, I will to my beloved wife Elizabeth Carr her life time, at her death I will the overplus of my land to my three beloved sons William, John and David Carr to live on the land and I will to my beloved son John Carr a certain sorrel colt and to my beloved son David Carr the colt that my bay mare is in foal with at this time and two cows and one calf.
Item 3rd: I will that of my three beloved sons or either of them should economize so as to appropriate money through my Executors to pay my just debts, that they or any of them should have the worth of what money they pay in that way in land at valuation, hereby revoking all former will by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 14th of March in the year of Our Lord 1833. King Carr (Seal)
Signed sealed published and declared by the above named King Carr to be his last Will and Testament; in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator:
Wm. Carr
Wm. Shaw
Henry Dobbins
