On 24 Apr 1721 Ralph Carr (esquire, of Cocken) obtained a licence to marry Margaret Paxton (of South Bailey, Durham City), directed to St.Mary-le-Bow, Durham City Surety: James Carr, gentleman, of Newcastle-upon-Tyne [Note: married 25 Apr at St.Mary-le-Bow.]
On 25 Apr 1721 Ralph Carr (esquire, of ye parish of Houghton) married Margaret Paxton (of this parish), by licence at the church os St Mary le Bow in the city of Durham. [1]
