Mary Carraway was born in 1657, in Lynnhaven Parish, Lower Norfolk, Virginia, a daughter of John Carraway and Ann Elizabeth Foster .
She married Lancaster Lovett, II, born 1651, in Lower Norfolk county, a son of Lancaster Lovett, 1609-1673. Lancaser died in March, 1702/03. His will was dated October 25, 1700, probated March 3, 1702/03. He mentions sons, Lancaster, Thomas, Adam, William and John; daughters, Sarah and Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Keeling, Sarah Richason, wife of Thomas; grandchildren Mary and Thomas Keeling, William's son William and daughter Mary; grandaughter Ann Kemp.
