Thomas Carraway was born in 1704 in Princess Anne County, Colony of Virginia, son of John Carraway (1675–1719) and Elizabeth Cannon (1675–1719).
Thomas married Mary Ann Whitehurst (born in 1682 in Princess Anne, Virginia; daughter of James Whitehurst Jr. and Mary (Godfrey) Whitehurst). Their son was John Carraway (~1731–>1794).
Thomas died on March 19, 1791 in Wayne County, North Carolina, United States, aged 86.
