Biography

Kisiah Carroll was born in 1820 in South Carolina.

She married Nimrod Cox on 17 Jan. 1841 at Hall County, Georgia.[1]

She and Nimrod appeared on the census of 2 Dec. 1850 at Gordon County, Georgia.[2] She and Nimrod appeared on the census of 11 July 1860 at Freemans, Gordon County, Georgia.[3] She and Nimrod and their family are in the 1870 US Census twice. They appeared on the census of 15 July 1870 in Pickens County, Georgia.[4] They appeared on the census of 21 Aug. 1870 at Gordon County, Georgia.[5] She and Nimrod appeared on the census of 23 June 1880 at Cross Roads, Pickens County, Georgia.[6] She appeared on the census of 20 June 1900 at Cross Roads, Pickens County, Georgia. Her daughters Nancy and Elizabeth were listed with their husbands living next door.[7]

Kisiah died on 22 Dec. 1901 probably in Gordon County, Georgia and was buried at East Damascus Cemetery, Fairmount, Gordon County, Georgia. Her memorial has photos and links to those of family members.[8]
