Elva Carroll Meredith, age 95 of Sweeden, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at her residence. She was born September 4, 1912 in Edmonson County to the late Noah and Lucy Meredith Carroll and married to the late Garland "Babe" Meredith. She was a homemaker and a baptist. She is survived by two sons, James Denton Meredith (Rita) of Sweeden and Kelly "Donnie" Meredith (Phyllis) of Brownsville; one sister, Helen Haines of Grove City, OH; four grandchildren, Kim Garmon (T.J.) of Owensboro, James Garland Meredith (Danielle) of Sweeden, Brandon Meredith of Alexandria, Va and Brandon Lee Meredith of Sweeden; five great grandchildren, JR Meredith of Sweeeden, Haylee Garmon of Owensboro, Audrey Meredith of Sweeden, Nicholas Garmon of Owensboro and Noah Meredith of Brownsville; niece, Sandy Carroll of Louisville and more special nieces and nephews.
