Isabella Carroll was born in the area of the Creenagh and Trummery townlands in the parish of Magheramesk, County Antrim, Ireland before 1763. She was the daughter of Edward Carroll and Sarah Bell.
Isabella's mother was from a prominent Quaker family and her father became a Friend in midlife, after becoming upset at his Presbyterian minister.
Isabella married Robert Williams, who was not a member of the Society of Friends. He had a large farm adjoingin her family's property and a successful linen factory. They had no children.
Isabella passed away before 1860.
