Margery Carroll was born in Lisburn, County Antrim, Ireland in 1789. She was the daughter of Edward Carroll and Elizabeth Murray. She migrated to the United States with her parents and siblings in 1801 when she was 12 years old.
Margery was from a Quaker family and she married William Whinery , also a Quaker, in New Garden, Columbiana, Ohio in 1811 and they had 11 children.
She died in Winona, Ohio in 1873 and was buried at Woodsdale cemetery in Guildford, Columbiana, Ohio. [1]
