Biography

Laura Carroll was born in 1832. ^[1]She is the daughter of Thomas Carroll and Anne Williams. Her passport described her as being 5.5" with hazel eyes and dark hair. ^{[2] [3]}

In the census of 1850 she was living with her parents and siblings in Cincinatti, Ohio ^[4]

She married David Hendrickson Taylor on 17th Jan 1853 in Hamilton, Ohio, USA ^[5]and had a son Henry Longstreet Taylor in 1858. ^[6] In the census of 1860 she was living with her husband and their 2 children, in Cincinatti, Ohio ^[7]

In the census of 1870, she was living with her husband and 4 children, in Cincinatti, Ohio ^[8]

In the census of 1900, she was widowed and living in Mill Creek, Hamilton, Ohio ^[9] Her husband David died in July 1870. Five years later Laura remarried, Henry Wright Taylor on 25 November 1875 in Cincinnati. It is assumed that he accompanied her on her visit to Ireland in 1878 when she met her Irish cousin carroll-4852. He died in 1899. Laura died in 1906. ^{[10] [11] [12] [13]}
