When Nellie Carson and her twin sister Della were born on October 13, 1919, in Tennessee, their father, James, was 41 and their mother, Rosa, was 34. She married Foster Lee Watson on December 23, 1946, in Scott County, Tennessee. They had one child during their 48 years of marriage. She died on April 12, 2000, in Glendale, Oregon, at the age of 80, and was buried there. [1]
