Hi Paul,

My names James F. Haynes and Captain Robert Craig who fought at the Battle of Kings Mountain is my direct ancestor. I was attempting to add to his profile the names of his sons. In my ineptness, I wrongly started listing them as siblings before I realized my mistake. Captain Robert Craig’s two siblings were in fact James Craig and David Craig. I have them listed correctly on geni. I humbly request that you as a program manager, if possible, correct my mistake. I will be more careful in the future. Thanks for any help you can provide. Hi! I'm not sure why Paul's profile is managed by the US Southern Colonies Project (born 1950s, he's well out of our scope!). Anyway, since I saw your post, I took a look at Craig-11942 & it seems you've gotten the children/siblings problem sorted out. If not, let us know.

Cheers, Liz

I propose change to Mary Crandall's husband and to removing children as listed on your page and adding these four as appear in sources cited below:

Hannah b. 1730 Jonathan/John b. 1732 Mary (Marcy) b. Feb 1734 Lewis b. Aug 1738

Sources 1) Elder John Crandall of Rhode Island and his Descendants. John Cortland Crandall. Page 10, record 18: Gives name, parents' names, approximate birth year, birth place, spouses' names Mary Crandall Nov 19, 1730 and second wife Esther Lewis, the daughter of Joseph Lewis and Esther Wilcox), children.

2) Mary, and John Crandall Nov 19,1730 in Vital Record of Rhode Island John and Esther Lewis; m. by William Hern, Justice April 19, 1740 in Vital Record of Rhode Island. Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After Adopting Orphans to understand what to do next. With over 200 unsourced profiles, you best help in improving Wikitree is to work on sources for your exisiting profiles.

Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As we always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

I notice that you are using "family group sheets" online and Genealogy.com as your source on your new profiles. As we are a collaborative tree, it would be a great help if you could be a bit more explicit about your sources. For instance: If these are from a family bible or work done by another family member that you inherited or a birth or death certificate, giving specifics will help others know where the information comes from. Anything would be helpful.

Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources

Thanks for joining WikiTree. Looking forward to your contributions.

Warm regards, Lori

Hi, Paul.

I see you are creating profiles today--will you have time (please) to add sources for those profiles? It would be greatly beneficial and greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Susan

hi Paul,

I see you are working on merges, you may want to review Merging FAQs to understand your responsibilities in doing merges. Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section. Thanks so much for helping improve Wikitree! If you have any questions, just let me know. Paul, you posted information for Rene Dupuis. He is a distant relative. May I ask whether he is also a relative of yours? If he is not, how/why is it that you are collecting information about him? Have you collected information on more recent lines of that Dupuis family. Again, thank you for your work. Dan Dupies

Paul,

I agree with the merger of Lefebvre-1027 and Lefebvre-1145. New to the game - sorry. Joel Prechtl

Paul,

Re: spouse of Mary Lee Dillard (Dillard-1141) Raleigh R. Templeton should not have been removed as Mary Lee's spouse. I attached to Mary Lee Dillard's profile (Dillard-1141) her 1910 thru 1940 Census records that document Mary Lee Dillard (b. abt 1880/1) married Raleigh R Templeton abt. 1898; i.e., two years after the death of Raleigh's 1st wie, Harriet Ella Dillard. jacktempleton27 @me.com
