I'm tidying up name errors in pre-1500 England profiles. Please could you add me to the trusted list for Matilda Helen (Unk) Heath (abt.1482-abt.1559) so that I can correct her last name at birth to Unknown? Wikitree does not use Unk for unknown names.
As for the marriage of Thomas I believe it happened in BERMUDA where he lived for about 10 years. He went as a single male in 1624 and returned to VA according to his courthouse deposition with FIVE people whom his was transporting back to VA with him. There is absolutely NO documentation for a marriage in England because once he left England he NEVER returned.
I descend from Alice Gascoigne his daughter who is listed as having been transporting from BERMUDA with Thomas. And, there is at least one record in BERMUDA for Thomas proving that he was a resident.
I have a copy of the original baptismal certificate of Thomas Gascoigne born in 1601 to Henry Gascoigne sent to me from England. However, you will NOT find the book at the courthouse because it was sold. However, his mother is NOT listed and I think historical documents prove that she died because of the birth. Otherwise, she should have been listed because it was a legal birth.
As part of the cleanup of Welsh patronymics we are trying to eliminate the use of Verch.
ferch (no capital), meaning "daughter of" should be part of the LNAB. For example Angharad "ferch Llewellyn". This would have been retained when married, although "gwraig Meredydd" might have been added to distinguish Angharad from another of the same patronymic.
Please can you correct this on your profiles, or open them to me so that I can change them for you.
Many thanks and all best wishes for the New Year.
Steve
Can you look at the following unmerged matches: Arthur-236, Arthur-237, Arthur-244, Arthur-247, Arthur-261, Arthur-263, Arthur-266, and Arthur-269? I suspect that a generational error was made and have left some sources on these profiles (in comment boxes) to show how the parents appear to be incorrect. Your assistance is appreciated!
David
Hope you are having a great day, thanks for adding me to the trusted list.
I just wanted to ask, if you are not able to edit pre-1500 profiles, would you mind letting someone with pre-1500 qual. manage the following: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Unk-1808
Thank you Bob for granting my request to join Braswell, Richard trusted list. I would also like to know if there has ever been a link to the Braswell BlogSpot?
Hi. Can you look at Henry Batten. On the profile he is married to his sister. Should probably be the Margaret unknown. There also appear to be a duplicate for Henry.
Bob, I have been adding a few names to the George Bebout profile 1861-1942 of a few more children and siblings and you can look at his profile to see what I added. My connection is through the Jane Harries and RobertH Humphreys 1670-1713 profile. Humphreys is my grandfather way back.
