John was born in 1859. John Carter is listed on the 1910 Census with his wife; Martha (Dooley) Carter and six children: Frederick Carter, Andrew Jackson Carter, Eugene Butler Carter, Lucy Carter, William Davis Carter, and Tiny V. Carter. [1] John and Martha are also linked to other children that had already moved out before the 1910 Census: Rosie Mae (Carter) Overstreet who was born on September 7, 1885 and passed away on July 4, 1961 [2] and Fannie Harrison (Carter) Orange who was born on September 22, 1888 and passed away on November 29, 1967. He passed away around the age of 60 on January 2nd in 1920 in Bedford, Virginia and his death certificate lists Allie Dooley as his spouse and Jas Carter as his father. [4] [5]
