William Ellis Carter Sr. was born 31 May 1875 in West Virginia. [1] He was a child of George Washington Carter and Rebecca Roberts. He married Mary Jane Gill. He passed away in 1963 in Cabell County, West Virginia. He was interred in Porter Cemetery, Salt Rock, Cabell County, West Virginia. [1]
