I was playing with the water hose in the backyard. I had the water turned on and daddy told me to turn the water off. I did and when he walked around the house, I turned it back on. He came after me and I ran around the front of the house screaming "He's affer me, he's affer me." My parents got so tickled they didn't spank me. I was about six.

Daddy could fix anything. If something was broken, he would find a way to repair it. He was smart. I loved him.
