Rita was born in 1924. She is the daughter of John Carter and Mabelle Dutcher. She passed away in 2009.

A Graveside Memorial service for longtime Granada, Colorado resident, Rita P. Reish will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2009 at the Hillside Cemetery in Granada with Monica Shelton officiating.

Mrs. Reish was born December 25, 1924 at Holly, Colo. to John Franklin and Mabelle Lavilla (Dutcher) Carter and passed away on August 31, 2009 at her home in Granada, with her family by her side at the age of 84.

Rita is preceded in death by her husbands; James Tyner and John M. Reish. Her parents, siblings; Cleta Wantz, Ivan Carter, Leland Carter and Leslie Carter as well as her grandchildren; Wendy, Missy and Traven and her son-in-law; James C. Shelton.

She is survived by her children; Zelma (Darwin) Caswell of Hope, Arkansas, Zora (Jose) Ortiz of Apache Junction, Arizona, Zella Shelton of Franklin, Nebraska, and Zane Tyner of Granada; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as her sister Dorothy (Bob) Conard of Cassville, Missouri. Numerous other family and friends also survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
