Rachel Catherine Carter is the daughter of Benjamin Ford Carter (abt.1787-abt.1855) and Rachael Catherine (Williams) Carter (1790-1866) [1].

Rachel was born on 07 Nov 1833 in Cynthiana, Posey County, Indiana [2].

Rachel married John Wesley Knowles on 21 Jun 1853 in Posey County, Indiana [3]. Together they had seven children.

Rachel died on 12 Nov 1898 in Posey County, Indiana and was interred at Liberty Cemetery, Cynthiana, Posey County, Indiana [2]
