Biography
A previous version of this profile, citing a Find-a-Grave memorial that is no longer online, claimed Charles Reuben Carter was son of Joseph Hiram Carter and Elizabeth Turner. But examination of census records for Joseph and his family includes no son Charles Reuben.
Charles Reuben Carter died in 1882; his current (2022) memorial-only Find-a-Grave profile does not list parents, nor is there a gravestone.[1]
A separate list of names buried at this cemetery do not include a Charles Reuben Carter.[2]
There is no Charles/Reuben Carter in the 1870 census for Gentry Co., Missouri or Dallas Co., Iowa.
