Biography

Martha Ann Carter was born in Lincoln County, Missouri, December 25, 1843, daughter of William T. and Agnes Carter. She married Charles C. Allen April 27, 1865. They had nine children, six boys and three girls, eight of whom survive her.
Martha died February 10, 1926, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 17 days. Her husband died April 25, 1911. Her eight living children, twenty-two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, survive her.
