THOMSON, Ga.
Mrs. Louella C. Whitaker, age 78, widow of Mr. Herbert D. Whitaker Sr., died Saturday, May 21, 2011, in the Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held in Fort Creek Baptist Church with the Dr. Phil Bray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Whitaker was a native of Johnson County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She had retired from the Fort Gordon Army P X. She was a member of the Fort Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her two daughters, Teresa (Emory) McNair, Stapleton; Vivian (Lennard) McBride, Waynesboro; her two sons, Herbert D. (Cathy) Whitaker Jr., Warrenton; Michael Thomas (Melanie) Whitaker, Montgomery AL.; her two brothers, J.T. Carter, Charles Carter, both of Guyton GA.; 11- Grandchildren, and 17- Great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her Grandsons and Great-grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class.
