Mildred W Carter, daughter of Charles Carter, died in 1807, probably in Virginia. Her estate was probated on 17 December 1807 with her brothers Bernard named as executor. She had made bequests to two friends, daughters of Robert Nelson named Mary & Ann Nelson. The remainder of her estate was left to her brothers William and Bernard in trust for her "dear sister Lee during her life free from the control of her husband General Lee."[1]
