Matilda (16) married Henderson C. Carter (18) (born about 1800 in Albany, Greene, Tennessee; son of Jesse Carter Sr and Susannah C. (Harmon) Carter) in 1819 in Greene, USA.
In the 1850 census Matilda (age 48) was in McMinn, Tennessee, United States.[1] Henderson Carter 50, Matilda Carter 48, Darcus Carter 29, Jessie Carter 28, James Carter 25, Susan Carter 23, Kiziah Carter 21, Anderson Carter 19, John Carter 17, Lewis Carter 11, Margaret Carter 13, Jackson Carter 7.
In the 1860 census Matilda (age 48) was at 1st Civil District, McMinn, Tennessee, United States.[2] Henderson Carter 50, Matilda Carter 48, Margaret Carter 21, Louis Carter 20, Jackson Carter 16, Robert Underwood 11, Susanna Carter 79.
Matilda died about 1865 in McMinn, Tennessee, aged about 62.[3]
