Research Notes
This deed is sometimes assumed to apply to this identical Thomas Carter (without evidence).[3] "16 February, 1470, Will of Joan [Carter?] Esthagh, late the wife of Nicholas Esthagh, of Thornham, and ... Thomas Carter ... and to John Carter, her brother ..."[3] Note: this will was written before the estimated birth date of this Thomas Carter (here profiled). In addition, Thornham and Kempston are nearly 100 miles apart.
