  • my wife Em
  • my son William

Thomas requested that he be buried in the churchyard at Kempston.[2]

Wife, Emily wrote her will on 1 June [1545?], and it was proved on 9 May 1546.[1]

Children

Children of Thomas and Emily (mentioned in the will of Thomas):[2]

  • Ellen Carter
  • William Carter

Research Notes

This deed is sometimes assumed to apply to this identical Thomas Carter (without evidence).[3] "16 February, 1470, Will of Joan [Carter?] Esthagh, late the wife of Nicholas Esthagh, of Thornham, and ... Thomas Carter ... and to John Carter, her brother ..."[3] Note: this will was written before the estimated birth date of this Thomas Carter (here profiled). In addition, Thornham and Kempston are nearly 100 miles apart.
