Biography
Nancy was born in Amwell, Pennsylvania, in 1794. She was the daughter of James and Nancy (Bowen) Carter. She married David Phillips in early 1812, in Pennsylvania. They had thirteen children. She died in Clinton, Ohio, in 1864, at the age of 69. She is buried alongside David, Mound View Cemetery, in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
