Biography
Allen was born in 1885 to David Carter and Barbara Brenton. He married Eleanor Jane Johnson Aug. 23, 1911 at Truro. They had 9 children - see below. He died at the Colchester Hospital in Truro at age 81 and was buried at Lower Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Colchester Co., Nova Scotia.
Note:
Allen lived at Brookfield ; afterwards he was a Woodsman, Paint Contractor and Farmer. He lived at Truro, Colchester Co. for a time. He lived after 1926 in Pleasant Valley, Colchester Co., Nova Scotia.
1911 census shows Allen and wife Eleanor living with his parents prior to the birth of first child.
