Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with cousins and anyone else with an interest in genealogy. Here is my family tree.
I'm wanting to find the Cartwright's that came to Australia from UK and SCOTLAND and settled around the Sydney, Nsw areas. I believe some went to Victoria and may have settle there also. I'm also interested to connecting with the Cartography Clan of Brisbane and Queensland.

My 2nd great grandfather Robert Cartwright came over from Liverpool around 1878-79. He married Emma Jane McCune In Leichhardt, Sydney in1883. If love to hear from anyone that is related to these Cartwright's of Leichhardt, Sydney. Hoping to meet my other Cartwright relos.

Hi Annie

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.

Also, our Member How-To pages can be useful to help you get started adding profiles or just learning your way around.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Have fun

Hi!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:

Looking to make more connections or find more information about an ancestor but not sure how to do that? Try categorizing your profiles.

Not sure what to put into a biography? Here are some Bio Ideas. Also, make sure that the biographies match WikiTree’s Styles and Standards.

If you come across an unresponsive manager, we have a process for those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, please ask!!

Hi Annie,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community! Please remember that we are trying to build one Collaborative Global Family Tree which means only one profile per person. It is important to ensure that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.

To help you get started, check out an introductory WikiTree video that a member created. For member benefits, see our Community Members page.

We also have a Mentor Team who will be glad to answer questions and help you with any specific problems.

Welcome and Enjoy!

Hi there :-)

I started doing my family tree around 2009 which is the Cartwright's (Dad side) & the Baker's (mum's side) I really enjoy doing my Genealogy & have met some really lovely people through doing Genealogy :-) I'm very willing to help out where ever I can although I think I'm still only a beginner to Genealogy compared to a lot of people I know.. like my cousin who has been doing the family tree since the 60's . I'm looking forward to helping out & will be interested to see if there are any other family members from around the world that will notice my little tree. Annie :-)

Hi Annie,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message here on your profile about your genealogical interests. A Greeters Project volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.

Have fun!
