"...On Jan. 6, 1679 Hezekiah Bunnill gave bond for the estate of Elizabeth Cartwright, and on Sept. 7, 1686 William Rogers, having married Elizabeth Cartwright, orphan, receipted Mr. Bunnill for his wife's estate (O. B. 1 p. 530)....William Rogers' will dated Jan. 28, 1725 and probated in Surry May 17, 1727, mentions son William, 'son of my former wife' and children Benjamin, Robert, Elizabeth Ellis, Mary Bennett, Sarah Bennett, Priscilla Proctor, Joseph, Jane, and my youngest son William which I had by my wife Elizabeth"....p. 359^[2]
