Israel was born in 1740. He passed away in 1820.
Israel Carver (Caleb, John, William, John, Robert) of Marshfield and of the Fox Islands and Vinalhaven, Maine, was born at Marshfield, 2 Nov 1740 and died probably at Vinalhaven. He married at Marshfield 4 Apr 1764 Margaret Sherman, born there 1 Nov 1745, daughter of Elisha and Lydia (Walker) Sherman. (This source suggests he had a second wife, who was the mother of his last three children.) Shortly after marriage they moved from Marshfield to the Fox Islands in Penobscot Bay, and settled on South Fox Island, later Vinalhaven. Their children, the eldest born at Marshfield and the others on South Fox Island, later Vinalhaven, where their births are recorded:
