Biography
In 1821 Jeremiah along with his father Cornelius, uncle Thomas Carver & brother signed a petition to change a part of Blount County to Monroe County so business could he conducted in Monroe County rather than going across a small mountain to the Blount County courthouse. (area now known as "Punkin Center")
