Biography

Eleanor Carey[1] or Cary[2] was born about 1495[1] and died after 1528.[3]

She was a nun at Wilton Abbey[3] and almost became the Abbess of the Abbey, but she lost the race over a sex scandal. Apparently she 'confessed' to Henry VIII that she had two children by two different priests, and boyfriend on the side. The funny part is that Anne Boleyn backed her.[1][4] (Eleanor's brother William was married to Anne's sister Mary Boleyn).
