Rebecca Cary was born the daughter of John (II) & Elizabeth Godfrey Cary of Bridgewater in the Plymouth Colonies in 1665. [1] Her parents had migrated into the New World from England. She was one of 11 known siblings.
On 2 December 1685, she married Samuel Allen (III)[2] and had a large family of six children with him, two of whom died in infancy. She died three days after the birth of her last child who was unnamed and also died in birth in the year 1697. The record of her death says she "Changed This life for a better." [3]
