Biography

Florence was the daughter of Emma Maria Andrews and William Henry Casey.

She married in New Zealand to Edward Ellis Jones. Nine children were to be born during her marriage. In 1912, they moved into a cottage at Arrowtown.

Edward died in 1928 and Florence remained in the cottage until her death.

The cottage now listed as a heritage property is known as 'Granny's Cottage' and was run as a museum for a time by a family descendant. Florence Jones died in 1941 age 81 and is buried at Arrowtown Cemetery.
